Hello from Mayci Shea
-
Mayci doing really good right now. Energy level great. Still seizure free. We are back in the routine of School teacher Mr Nathan coming to the house 2 x a week. Kelle the PT 2x week and Speech therapy on Friday mornings.
She is still at her same pace for crawling (that would be snail pace) but atleast she is still making the effort to get up and move around. Its been way too cold to get her out and we stayed in a lot the past 2 weeks. The Lake froze up and it was beautiful. Beautiful from the warmth of the house and looking out the window. I don’t like being cold and neither does Mayci.
Joli has been making some different GFCF meals for Mayci and she has been loving them. She has gotten recipes for Lasagna, Mexican casserole, cabbage rolls, chicken and dressing and chicken and dumplings. Mayci loves it all!Theres lot of chatter about HBOT being paid for by Insurance companies but It has not become official yet. I hope that we can see the day for this to take place.
There is going to be a small 1 day conference in Wisconsin on February 27th and Dr. Vandyke, Dr. Usman, Dr. Underwood, and Dr. Rossignol will all be the speakers. It will be great to have access to all these doctors and ask all the questions I want to ask. I hope to meet more moms and get connected with them. www.tacanow.org/wisconsin is the website you can go to and check out the conference. Shannon has asked me to come up early to help get ready for the event so Mayci, Joli and Myself will go for 2 weeks. She needs to get into the chamber and Dr. Vandyke needs to go over all her medicine list. I like the idea getting a game plan together for the year. Goals to achieve for Mayci.
Gaining more weight and muscle mass is one top priority for me. Another I think would be seeing if we can lesson some of the vitamins that she is on. She’s on a lot and they are getting expensive.
I’m gearing up for Traveling this year. I’ve been home for about 6 weeks and I’m ready to get to work. I leave for California Thursday for a 2 day TACA conference.
Thanks for all who are still following Mayci’s improvements. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!
If anyone needs any informationa about HBOT or Mitochondrial disorder or Autism. Contact me and I can get some information to you via mail.Kristi Hogg
