Lake County Banner - BBQ cook off event 7-16-10

We will be selling T-shirts, candles and Dian Brown will be doing a special, unique “hand writing” analysis for donations. Its gonna be warm but lots of good food and fellowship for everyone. Family oriented event so everyone needs to come. Lucas has 300 shirts ready for Mayci Shea. Everyone please come and get you a Mayci Shirt.

New Tshirts will be available after the fourth of July online for Mayci”s new Tshirt. They are fantastic!!

Me and Marli went to West TN Healthcare Foundation and sold them at the Hospital. We sold 70 shirts in 4 hours. We plan on going back soon. I was very pleased especially when I only ordered 100 shirts. So Im out of Adults, L,M, S and some XL ALREADY!!!!!

Make A WISH has granted Mayci a Swing Set

Mayci has been granted a wish of a big swing set. She will be so excited to swing on Monday.

Everyone is invited to come out on Monday night June 21st. 7 pm. We will have Lake Co. Banner, UC Messenger, and Make-A-Wish representatives here to “reveal” it to her. Im so excited for her. She so deserves it.

It will be at my house in Samburg!!!

June 6th 2010 Mayci Update

Mayci is doing really good. We are struggling to get 2,500 to 3,000 calories in Mayci’s diet everyday we are trying our best. We are learning about good fats and proteins to add to her diet.

We were able to get Mayci’snew vitamin compound covered by Insurance and Kizer Rx has done a great job andgetting that made for us. They were able to find the JUICE SUPPLEMENT called “Splash” and it was covered by Insurance. Mayci is doin really well with this new diet. She is loving all the new foods we are able to add into her daily diet routine. She is eating it all and loving it.

We finally got the medical necessity letter from Dr. Usman’s office and are waiting to see if Insurance will pay for her Vitamin IV therapy. If this is covered then everything will be under insurance that Dr. Usman asked for. We went Wednesday of this past week and got all the blood test completed that Dr. Usman requested. 6 tubes of blood. we tried for 2 days to get urine but no success. We will try again next week.

So things are going good it just takes time. Mayci’s fundraiser with the Boston Butts went really good. We made about $1,000.00 from this fundraiser. Chad Hamilton did a fantastic job. There were many who volunteered their time and I am so thankful for all of them.

Mayci is getting another t-shirt made. I finalized it this Friday. They are going to be GREAT!!!! I can’t wait for them to come in. Marli goes to 4H camp this next week. Please pray for me. I will miss her so much. I just finished a two week work trip. Abilities Expo in Edison, NJ. So many disabled people searching for things to help them. It was about 2,000 people that registered. I felt like that we were the only booth out of 300 booth vendors that offered some type of HOPE for them. the other things were your typical booth vendors to just try to “make things Easier” There was so many moms that came up to us andstarted crying. I wanted them to start HBOT immediately. I pray they will find a way to get the Oxygen therapy. After I left there I flew to Wisconsin and worked at the Wisconsin Hyperbaric Clinic. There was another TN mom there along with several other families from many other states. I got to spend a lot of time with Shannon, Grace and Lily. I love it there. It has become my 2nd home. On Thursday me and Erin drove to Chicago and set up Booths for the Autism One conference. www.autismone.org It was great. Jenny McCarthy and Andrew Wakefield were both there.
